Rather than a list of fun things to do on Valentine’s Day with your date, friends, or by yourself, I’m going to give you words of encouragement for wherever you happen to be.

What I’ve hoped for and will continue to hope for this year are gifts to myself that are more far important than things.
It’s not about the size, shape, or components of your famil(ies). It’s not the structure of the family, but the functioning and strength of its bonds.
At this point in time, I have no material things I want or need for my birthday. In that case, what would I get if I could?
